Got a new idea today to remake the Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG, the one you see in specialty stores. So, I started gathering all my materials.
First off, I drew a rough sketch of the bag, just to get a feel for the shape and size. It’s a cute little boxy thing, really chic. Then, I started looking for the right leather. I wanted something smooth, you know, like the one in the Saint Laurent store. Found a decent piece after a bit of searching. Not exactly the same, but it’ll do for a start.
- Cut the leather into the right shapes, making sure to follow my sketch. This part took a while, gotta be precise, right?
- Sewed the pieces together. My sewing machine was acting up a bit, but we managed. Had to redo a few stitches here and there.
- Once the body of the bag was done, I worked on the strap. Decided to go with a simple, adjustable one.
- The hardest part was probably the YSL logo. I tried to replicate it as best as I could, but it’s not perfect. Let’s just say it has a “handmade” charm to it.
After all the sewing and detailing, I put the whole thing together. It took a few hours, but seeing the final product made it all worth it. It’s not exactly like the original, of course. Mine has its own little quirks. But hey, it’s got that handmade vibe, which I kinda like.
Final Touches
I added a little lining inside, just a simple fabric, to make it look a bit more polished. And there you have it, my version of the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It’s not something you’d find in a store, but it’s unique, and I made it myself. That’s gotta count for something, right?
So, that’s my little project for today. It was fun, a bit challenging, but definitely rewarding. Might try another design next time. Who knows, maybe I’ll get better at this whole bag-making thing. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this little story. Catch you guys later!
