Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole watch thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s a rabbit hole. Today’s adventure? Trying to snag a CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, the one with the open case back, you know, so you can see all the guts and gears.
First off, I started poking around online. Lots of places claim they have these things. Forums, random websites, you name it. It’s a bit of a jungle out there. You gotta be careful, seriously.
I read a bunch of stuff, some from 2024, some older. Authors like “ldsf125303” (whoever that is) popped up a lot. They were talking about how to buy these things safely, where to find specialty stores, and even how much they cost. It’s a lot to take in, to be honest.
This one site was going on about a “CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch: Authentic with a Cool, Transparent Back.” Sounds fancy, right? Then there was another one about a “CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch: See It All with the Transparent Case Back.” Same thing, different words. You see what I mean about confusing?
The Search Begins
- Dived into some forums. Lots of chatter, but hard to tell what’s real.
- Checked out some online stores. Prices all over the place.
- Tried to make sense of all the different versions of this watch.
I saw this one post talking about the “CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Sapphire Original order.” Apparently, it’s supposed to be super close to the real deal. They were even talking about getting the best price. Made me think, maybe that’s the way to go.
Then there was this “CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary Guide.” Now, I’m not even sure what that is, but it sounds cool. They mentioned finding an “open case” version. My ears perked up at that, obviously.
I noticed that some places were calling it the “Official Flagship Store.” Like, are they the real deal or just pretending? It’s hard to say. One post mentioned the face has “three little circles,” sub-dials. I don’t know how to use them yet, but they do look cool!
Getting My Hands on One
So, after all this digging, I finally decided to just go for it. I found a seller that seemed legit, at least more legit than the others. We chatted a bit, I asked a bunch of questions, and they answered them, which was a good sign. I ended up buying the watch after a few days back and forth.
I paid the money, waited a few days, and bam, it arrived. It’s actually pretty nice, I gotta say. The open back is cool, you can see all the little parts moving around. Does it look exactly like the real one? Probably not. But for the price, I’m not complaining.
This whole thing was a bit of a learning experience. You really gotta watch out for scams and do your research. But in the end, I got a pretty cool watch out of it. Now I just gotta figure out how to use those little dials.
