You know, I’ve been eyeing this Fendi Mon Tresor Bucket Bag for a while. It’s got that classic look, you know? And the official flagship store has it, so I figured, why not try to make my own? Might save a few bucks, plus it’s a fun project.
First thing I did was look up a bunch of pictures of the bag online. Gotta get the details right. It’s a small bucket bag, made of smooth leather, and it’s got this embossed FF logo pattern all over it. Plus, it uses a drawstring to close at the top, which seems simple enough.
Then, I started to gather my materials. I found some smooth leather scraps that were perfect. I made sure to buy metal decorations that looked just like the ones on the real Fendi bag, you know, the ones in the shape of their logo. I also grabbed a strong cord for the drawstring.
To get that FF logo pattern, I thought long and hard about it. I searched on the internet and found that authentic Fendi bags made between 2004 and 2010 have a hologram sticker. And Fendi bags produced before 1980 do not have serial numbers. I finally decided to buy a small FF logo steel plate, heated it, and then pressed it onto the leather. It worked like a charm! The pattern came out pretty good, if I do say so myself.
Next, I cut the leather into the right shapes. This part was a bit tricky. I had to make sure all the pieces would fit together to form that bucket shape. Then I started to sew. This part is time-consuming, the bag is small and I have to pay attention to every detail. So I did it very slowly and carefully.
Once the main body of the bag was sewn together, I added the drawstring. I made a channel at the top of the bag and threaded the cord through it. After I sewed all the main body of the bag, I started to install those metal Fendi logo decorations. I searched a video that is about the FENDI Factory near Florence to get more details. It’s really a big factory. I could imagine that their bags are made by a lot of people, with a lot of machines. So I guess it’s not hard for me to install these small metal decorations.
And then, voila! I had my very own Fendi Mon Tresor Bucket Bag. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty darn close to the real thing. And you know what? I’m pretty proud of myself. It was a fun little project, and I saved a ton of money. The real one is way more expensive, especially considering it’s 40% off at some stores. Now I’ve got a stylish new bag, and I made it myself. How cool is that?

My Own Fendi Bag
It turned out pretty great, right? I’m thinking about doing another one, maybe trying a different color next time. Or maybe I’ll try to copy a completely different designer bag. The possibilities are endless! It’s all about being resourceful and having a little bit of patience. And hey, if I can do it, anyone can. It is not hard to do it. Just do it! You just need to find some good pictures, get the right materials, and take your time. Trust me, the feeling of making something yourself is way better than just buying it.
