Okay, here is my blog post about my experience buying an OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch.
Man, I gotta tell you about this whole ordeal I went through to get my hands on an OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. You know, the one with the transparent case back? It’s a beauty, but let me tell you, getting one wasn’t a walk in the park.
So, I started like anyone else, I looked online, and there was some information about the latest update of this watch. So I figured, I had to go to a store. Downtown Flagstaff seemed like a cool spot to check out. It’s got all sorts of stuff going on, from restaurants to art and events. I thought, maybe I’ll get lucky and find a watch store there.
I called up the Flagstaff Visitor Center, got a number from them (928-213-2951, if you’re curious). They were super helpful, but they only had Flagstaff souvenirs and things like that. No watches. I kept searching, found some local general stores and some thrift shops. Basement Marketplace and MIX Flagstaff sounded interesting, but they didn’t have what I was after. I even stumbled upon Steep Leaf Lounge, but it was more about tea than timepieces.
Then, I remembered a few VTuber things I watched, and there was this VShojo Store with their limited merch. I looked it up and realized they didn’t sell watches either.
Feeling a bit down, I expanded my search. Found a shopping area near Walmart and Kohl’s, close to NAU. Figured there might be a jewelry store or something there. Nope. Nothing.
Out of desperation, I even went to a pawn shop. The newest one in Flagstaff, apparently, with over ten years of experience. They buy stuff, give out loans, all that jazz. The guy at Flagstaff Pawn was nice, but he didn’t have the OMEGA I was looking for. It’s a pretty specific watch, I guess.
Finally, after days of searching, I decided to go back to the official website of OMEGA. It was the last resort.
- Step 1: I browsed their online catalog, which is pretty slick, I must say.
- Step 2: Found the Speedmaster Professional section. Boom! There it was, my Moonwatch, in all its glory.
- Step 3: I picked the model with the transparent case back. That was essential.
- Step 4: Added it to my cart, filled out all my info, and hit that “buy” button.
It was a done deal. Now, the waiting game began. A few days later, a package arrived. And there it was, my OMEGA Speedmaster. It felt good to finally have it after such a crazy search.
