Rx BATTERY REQUIREMENTS

The above receivers can use 4 x AA or AAA re-chargeable cells. (4.8 volts nominal).  However, if the battery voltage sags below 4.6 volts, erratic behaviour can occur.
For the best and most reliable performance we suggest at least welded packs of
4 or 5 x AAA rechargeable cells. Plastic holders & Alkaline cells not recommended. 
Alternatively you can use a # UBEC-5v regulator pcb and higher voltage batteries. Rx Voltage range = Minimum 4.8 volts - 8.4 volts maximum.   
N.B. THE ACTUAL MAXIMUM PERMITTED DEPENDS ON THE SERVOS USED. MOST MINI & MICRO SERVOS ARE LIMITED TO 6 VOLTS. 
RCS NOW HAS AFFORDABLE SERVOS  FOR 7.4 VOLTS.
Rx batteries are not needed with ESC's. The ESC provides the 5 volt supply.
U-BEC-5v $15 (L) BEC 3.0 Amp 5 volt supply for heavy duty servo use.  Very useful if using MyLocosound in Live Steam locos.  A  7.4 volt pack is ideal.

SOUND TRIGGERS USING RCS Tx HANDPIECES.
All RCS handpieces can use Ch # 5 for a sound trigger.  Usually a whistle or horn. 1 - 3 max.
# DU-Tx3 requires an R/C switch with 1 x trigger per channel = 3 - 5 Triggers max.
# DU-Tx5 requires an R/C switch with 2 x triggers per channel = 3 - 7 Triggers max.

BATTERY REQUIREMENTS.
(High quality welded pack ENELOOP AA & AAA batteries are HERE.
