PLP5 & PB9 SPECIAL INFORMATION
PLP5. The Phoenix PLP5 sound systemhas Plug’n’Play capability with the RCS-BASIC /EVO “B” & RCS-PnP-3 / EVO-PnP-3 series range of ESC’s. The optional extra # PLP5-CABLE isrequired.
The PLP5 is also compatible with the RCS ELITE & EVO “E” series controllers. Screw terminals are used.
Please note, the two variations require slightly different set ups in the config part of the Phoenix PLP5 sound files.
You MUST disable ALL DCC functions & set the DCC address to 0 (zero). Otherwise erratic operation may result.
PB9. The PB9 sound system can be interfaced with the RCS-BASIC /EVO “B” & RCS-PnP-3 / EVO-PnP-3 series range of ESC’s. The optional extra # B-CABLE is required.
The PB9 is also compatible with the RCS ELITE & EVO “E” series controllers. Screw terminals are used.
Please remember that the two variations require slightly different set ups in the config part of the Phoenix P5 sound files.

SETTING UP & PROGRAMMING THE SOUND SYSTEMS YOURSELF.
ELITE & “E” series.
The Phoenix PB9 & PLP5 config files are preset from the factory to suit the ELITE and “E” series controllers.
The ELITE & “E” series controllers must have all the trigger functions in both the PB9 & PLP5 left at or set to LOW.
To install them simply load the full Phoenix program into your sound system.
The Phoenix system installer will automatically overwrite the config file. You must install matching files otherwise erratic system operation may occur. Once loaded reassign the trigger functions to suit RCS/EVO as outlined in the specific ESC instructions. Then save the config file in appropriate folder in your computer.
PnP-3, BASIC & “B” series.
Use the same procedure as above for the PB9 & PLP5 but be sure to set the trigger functions to HIGH.
RCS/EVO assigns the trigger functions the way we like it. See the RCS instruction sheets for specific assignments.
You can of course customise the files to suit whatever preferences you have. You can reassign any trigger function to any sound you wish to trigger.
